A perfect Eid special dish with smoky BBQ-style flavor that everyone will love. Sink your teeth into tender mutton chops marinated in bold desi spices, slow-cooked and then pan-fried to achieve a smoky, charred finish. Each bite is juicy, spicy, and full of Eid celebration flavor—perfectly paired with naan, chutney, or salad for a royal festive platter.

    🧂 Ingredients:

  • Mutton chops (with bone) – 1 kg
  • Yogurt – ½ cup
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder – 1½ tbsp
  • Turmeric – ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala – 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper – 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil – 4–5 tbsp
  • Butter – 2 tbsp (for smoky finish)
  • Coal piece – 1 (for smoke effect)

    👩‍🍳 Method:

  1. Marinate chops: Mix yogurt, spices, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt. Coat mutton chops well and marinate for at least 4–6 hours (overnight best).
  2. Cook base: In a pan, add oil and cook marinated chops on medium heat until tender (add little water if needed).
  3. Dry fry: Once meat is soft, cook on high heat to reduce gravy and fry until oil separates.
  4. Smoke (smoky flavor): Place a hot coal in foil bowl, add a little butter, cover pan for 5–7 minutes.
  5. Final fry: Uncover and give a quick toss for charred edges.
  6. You can also grill these chops on grill pan except frying.

✨ Serve hot with naan, lemon wedges & chutney.
