Refreshing Bottle Gourd Yogurt Raita Recipe
Cool, creamy, and refreshing Bottle Gourd Raita made with yogurt, bottle gourd and simple spices. A perfect healthy side dish for biryani, pulao, and spicy meals. Make your summer meals extra refreshing with this chilled and flavorful Bottle Gourd Raita.
Ingredients:
- Bottle gourd 1 medium
- Yogurt 2 cups
- Onion 1 finely chopped
- Cucumber 1 finely chopped
- Tomato 1 finely chopped
- Green chili 2
- Mint leaves as required
- Coriander as required
- Salt as required
- Black pepper 1/2 tsp
Cooking Directions:
- Blend green chili, coriander and mint leaves with a pinch of salt in blender (use water if required).
- In a mixing bowl, add yogurt , salt , and black pepper and mix well.
- Peel off bottle gourd , grate it and boil for 15-20 minutes until soft.
- Now add boiled bottle gourd and chopped vegetables in yogurt and keep in freezer for half an hour.
- Garnish refreshing raita with mint leaves and serve.
