Creamy Bottle Gourd Raita – Cool & Refreshing Side Dish


    Refreshing Bottle Gourd Yogurt Raita Recipe

    Cool, creamy, and refreshing Bottle Gourd Raita made with yogurt, bottle gourd and simple spices. A perfect healthy side dish for biryani, pulao, and spicy meals. Make your summer meals extra refreshing  with this chilled and flavorful Bottle Gourd Raita.



    Ingredients:

  • Bottle gourd      1 medium
  • Yogurt                2 cups
  • Onion                 1 finely chopped 
  • Cucumber         1 finely chopped 
  • Tomato              1 finely chopped
  • Green chili       2
  • Mint leaves       as required  
  • Coriander          as required
  • Salt                    as required
  • Black pepper     1/2 tsp

    Cooking Directions:

  1. Blend green chili, coriander and mint leaves with a pinch of salt in blender (use water if required).
  2. In a mixing bowl, add yogurt , salt , and black pepper and mix well.
  3. Peel off bottle gourd , grate it and boil for 15-20 minutes until soft.
  4. Now add boiled bottle gourd and chopped vegetables in yogurt and keep in freezer for half an hour.
  5. Garnish refreshing raita with mint leaves and serve.
