🍗🍚Chicken Pilaf Recipe – One Pot Chicken Pulao Pakistani Style

        This comforting Chicken Pilaf is a delicious one-pot rice dish prepared with juicy chicken, whole spices, and long-grain basmati rice. A simple yet flavorful Pakistani pulao recipe that is perfect for everyday meals and family gatherings.



Ingredients:

  • Chicken                   1 kg
  • Water                        4 glasses
  • Garlic ginger paste           1 tbsp
  • Tomato                    2(chopped)
  • Onion                       2 medium sliced
  • Green chili(chopped)             6
  • Red chili flakes              1/2 tsp
  • Salt                to taste
  • Rice              2 cups
  • Cumin seeds            1 tsp
  • Dried coriander seeds      1 tsp
  • Cinnamon                     2 sticks
  • Garlic Cloves                8
  • Allspice powder          1 tsp
  • Mint leaves              for garnish
  • Oil             3/4 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. In a pot, add chicken, water, garlic cloves, 1 tsp of salt, dried coriander seeds and boil for 15-20 minutes until chicken is 75% cooked.
  2. In a bowl, soak rice for one hour.
  3. In another pot, add oil and fry the chopped onion until golden brown.
  4. Now add ginger garlic paste and fry for 1 minute .
  5.  Add chopped tomato and green chili and fry for 2 minutes.
  6. Now add red chili flakes , cumin seeds , salt, cardamom stick, all spice powder and add some water and fry for 1 minute .
  7. Now add boiled chicken and simmer for 5 minutes until flavor of masala is added in the chicken(Don’t stir it too much so the chicken doesn’t fall apart ).
  8. After that add Strained chicken stock in it and let it boil.
  9. Now add rice in it.
  10. When stock is absorbed in rice then make the flame slow.
  11. Now simmer on low flame for 15 minutes until rice is done.
  12. In a serving dish, serve this pilaf with mint leaves on top.
  13. Serve with raita and green sauce to add more flavor.
